    Hi Carolyn,

What a bright and colorful post ๐Ÿ™‚

Although we don’t celebrate the 4th of July at our end, but I’ve most of my friends like you who do, and I think it’s the spirit that counts more than anything else – so yes, in a way I celebrate it too along with all of you ๐Ÿ™‚

I saw a few of these boards, and a few new ones people have started just for the 4th of July – and yes — all full of amazing things. The one with the nail paint and colourful food items got to me too, which just shows how creative people can really be – isn’t it?

So, here’s wishing Happy 4th of July to all those who celebrate it. Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a nice week ahead ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Harleena, Yes, Pinterest is definitely colorful, especially these boards. Even if you don’t celebrate the 4th, you can still find great recipe, home decor and beauty ideas on Pinterest. You’re right, new boards and pins are added constantly which is why it’s helpful to search for what you’re looking for. As wonderful as these boards are, I knew that the minute I published this post there would be more amazing pins and boards appearing on Pinterest.

You’re right, I’m always in awe about how creative people can be. It’s so wonderful that they share their creative ideas with others on Pinterest!

Thanks so much for your comment and for sharing, Harleena!

Some really nice pictures and ideas there Carolyn.
Personally not going to celebrate 4th of July since I am not American, but wish you all a great day.

Hi Johan, Thank you very much! Yes, I realize this article might have a big more appeal to people in the US and Americans abroad, but people around the world can get creative ideas from Pinterest!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts, Johan! ๐Ÿ™‚

Carolyn, I found some awesome dessert recipes I may be trying out. I must go back and look for main dishes too. I have a family cook-out that day and my sisters bday on Saturday that I need to cook for. Pinterest is awesome for recipes and so much more. I must also check out your apps. I’ve been using more and more of late. Have a great day and a Happy July 4th week.

Hi Lisa, I’m thrilled you found some great recipes for your cook-out on Pinterest. This article was a lot of fun to research, there are so very many creative ideas on that site!

I hope you find some fun 4th of July apps as well, Lisa. Happy 4th of July! **==

How colorful Carolyn, that’s the first thing I thought.

I’m not a big user of Pinterest but I’m sure that there are a lot of fun recipes to try for the 4th. Of course it will just be another work day for me, no taking off at all but I’m sure there are going to be a lot of barbecues happening and fun festivities taking place. I bet they’ll find some fun things on this site.

Thanks for sharing and love it!

Hi Adrienne, Pinterest is almost a dangerous place for me. I get sucked in and the next thing I know, I have totally forgotten why I went to the site. So much fun!

Even if you have to work on the 4th, you may find ideas for your other summer parties and BBQ’s on Pinterest. Who says you can only have fun on the 4th! **==

jeez ! I’ve never seen people sharing their celebration ideas to general public on any of the social networking site that I’m a part of ….Social Networking sites are indeed very powerful medium to communicate with the world and those links that you have posted are the examples of it .Though we in India wont be celebrating the U.S independence day …am sure a lot of people (including me)from here would glue their eyes on the celebrations being aired on some of our News Channels..

    Regards,
    Pramod

Hi Pramod, Excellent point. Pinterest really is a hub for creative ideas, no matter what the occasion. You could even start a Pinterest board for festivities in India. Perhaps that’s why Pinterest is so addictive, it can cover any topic you want.

      July 7, 2013 at 9:11 am

Hi Aditya, Thank you. I am a big fan of Pinterest too. Articles about Pinterest are dangerous for me because I always get swept up in that site and the time flies as I peruse the pins!

    Hi Carolyn,

    1. Celebrations, symbols, special days are very important for keeping a nation together. I hope you had a great day filled with joy and fun.

    2. About Pinterest
You are talking of Pinterest… . It’s kind of sad for me but this is the month where I will say good bye to my Pinterest account. Pinterest is good for having fun but not for business. I worked hard on Pinterest and got some results. Negative ones. In essence it was a disappointment and waste of time.
Yes I got a huge, solid experience and it was wonderful but it’s over.

    Have a nice day

    • Carolyn Nicander Mohr says

      July 11, 2013 at 7:31 pm

Hi Silviu, I’m sorry Pinterest hasn’t been a positive experience for you. Why has Pinterest been negative for you?

I enjoy Pinterest a lot. Though I use it mostly for fun pins, I get quite a bit of traffic to The Wonder of Tech from Pinterest.

(I’m sorry for the late reply. I had replied earlier but my Internet connection was a bit dodgy when I was traveling!)

      • Silviu says

        July 12, 2013 at 12:24 am

        Hi Carolyn,

Why my experience with Pinterest was negative? I documented everything in my article. I put the link above your reply.
Pinterest is good for fun. If you want to make money with Pinterest you need to start and reach success somewhere else, first.

        Have a nice day

        • Carolyn Nicander Mohr says

          July 12, 2013 at 10:22 am

Hi Silviu, Great article on Pinterest! I really admire how you methodically analyzed your experience there.

Pinterest doesn’t work for everyone, no site does. You’re right, it’s best to visit sites that are a good fit for you.
