If it’s a week in the autumn, then it’s time for a product launch from a major tech company. Following Apple and Amazon, Google took its turn last week by introducing two new phones: Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

Pixel 7
Google’s Pixel 7 is filled with fun and useful features that could make it a compelling choice for you. Pixel 7 has a 6.3 inch (16 cm) display that’s 25% brighter, even in sunlight, according to Google.
The Pixel 7 has a battery life that lasts up to 24 hours. According to Google, if you use the Extreme Battery Saver mode, the battery life can extend up to 72 hours.
Sound quality has been enhanced. The Pixel 7 has a sound filter that helps you hear conversations in a noisy environment.
Live Translate on the Pixel 7 can translate 48 different languages in real-time. Pixel 7 can translate both your conversations and written text.
Unlocking a Pixel 7 phone couldn’t be easier. You can unlock the phone using either your face with Face Unlock or your finger with Fingerprint Unlock.
One of the most interesting new features in the Pixel 7 is a built-in VPN (virtual private network) to help keep your Internet usage private. When you buy a Pixel 7 phone, you get a free subscription to Google One VPN service. You can find out more about Google’s VPN service (including in which countries Google’s VPN is available) at the Google One VPN website. Google says the VPN service is “coming soon” on the Pixel 7, but doesn’t mention whether it will be available at launch.
Camera
Pixel 7’s camera has been upgraded as well. Cinematic Blur has been added to give your videos a more professional look. The subjects of the videos are displayed in sharp contrast to the blurred background.
The front camera lens has a wide-angle feature so you can fit more friends into your selfies.
Speaking of selfies, Pixel 7 has an accessibility feature called Guided Frame to assist those with vision issues. Guided Frame uses audio and haptic vibration to help you center your face in the frame of a selfie.
The dual lenses of the Pixel 7 rear camera let you zoom in or out of a shot.
Google Photos on the Pixel 7 adds features such as Photo Unblur for sharper images. Magic Eraser in Google Photos on the Pixel 7 can delete unwanted intrusions into your photos such as photo bombers.
Availability
Google Pixel 7 is available in three colors: Lemongrass, Snow, and Obsidian for pre-order now. Prices begin at $599 with delivery beginning later this week.
Pixel 7 Pro
The Pixel 7 Pro phone has every feature listed above for the Pixel 7 phone, including Google One VPN, Live Translate, Face Unlock, Fingerprint Unlock, Cinematic Blur, Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, and Guided Frame.
As with the Pixel 7, the Pixel 7 Pro has a 24-hour battery life that extends to 72 hours with Extreme Battery Saver mode.
The 6.7″ (17.02 cm) display of the Pixel 7 Pro is larger than the Pixel 7 display, and also has 25% increased brightness for better viewing in sunlight.
A big difference between the two phones is that the camera on the Pixel 7 Pro has three lenses, which allows it to zoom in and out for more impressive photos.
Super Res Zoom, an exclusive feature for the Pixel 7 Pro, lets you zoom in up to 30x from afar.

The Pixel 7 Pro is available for pre-order now in Hazel, Snow, and Obsidian. Prices begin at $899 with delivery starting later this week.

Do you think pixel would surpass iphone? it seems that even though it has a lot of features, iphone is still dominating the phone market.
Hi Tracy, Great question. No, I do not think that the Pixel will surpass the iPhone. The Android market has lots of different phones, but those who want to use iOS have only the iPhone (though in many different models). While Android phones outsell iPhones around the world, it would be tough for Pixel to corner the Android market, no many how many features it has.
