Thanks to Carol who linked in the Comments section below to this CNet Prizefight video comparing browsers:

Loved the YouTube tutorial on web browsers (although I’m happy I am ahead on this basic). What was even cooler was the related YouTube – a battle of the top 4 web browsers based on speed, security, customization and features. The video compared Explorer, Safari, Chrome and Firefox. In this contest Firefox won.

Hi Carol, Welcome back to the Wonder of Tech! I’m so happy you enjoyed the video and thanks for pointing us to CNet’s Prize Fight video. Brian Tong is very entertaining and enlightening. I am going to add this video to the body of the post to make sure readers get to see this one too.

Hi Carolyn,
Most of us would be surprised at how many people don’t know that it’s a web browser that accesses the internet. 🙂 Doing tech support, I’ve said, “now open your browser …” and the person responds, “you mean the internet?”
It’s wonderful to have so many opportunities to teach, to learn, to share. (And nice choice of video, too!)

Hi Vernessa, Welcome back to The Wonder of Tech! I’m glad you enjoyed the blog post and the video. You’re right, a lot of people don’t know what a browser is. Often people are embarrassed to ask or don’t know what they need to know to use tech advantageously. I really enjoy explaining tech and helping others discover all the wonderful ways tech can help them!
