Echo Buds not only play what you command using a digital assistant, they also allow pass-through sound. Switch between the two with a double-tap so you can listen to music, then amplify a conversation around you.
Echo Buds are available for pre-order for $129.99 from Amazon with delivery on October 30.
Echo Loop
Want the convenience of wearable technology but don’t want a smartwatch? Amazon may have your solution with the Echo Loop ring. This ring comes with a microphone and speaker, and gives a new meaning to the phrase, “Talk to the hand.”
Use Echo Loop to summon Alexa to make phone calls, send text messages, and perform other Alexa skills. This titanium ring connects to the Alexa app on your phone and is activated by a click of a button on the ring.
Loop is splash-proof so you can wash your hands without having to take it off. But Amazon doesn’t recommend that you swim or shower when wearing Loop.

New Alexa Voice
The familiar Alexa voice will soon no longer be your only option. Instead, you can soon use the voice of Samuel L. Jackson, for a bit of fun with Alexa.
Imagine the surprise of your guests as you ask Alexa a question and Samuel L. Jackson responds! But be careful, Samuel L. Jackson isn’t Alexa and his responses may not be suitable for children or those who may be offended by profanity.
You will have the option of turning his profanity on or off in the Alexa app.
Mr. Jackson’s voice will respond to request for the weather, music, alarms, and more. But he won’t be able to respond to all of Alexa’s skills.
This Amazon video shows you the fun you can have with Samuel L. Jackson as the new voice of Alexa:
Samuel L. Jackson’s voice for Alexa will be available later this year for $0.99 initially, then increase to $4.99. Amazon said that other celebrity voices will eventually become available, but didn’t specify which ones.

Wow!! These are too many gadgets to choose from. I want to take them all.
Thanks for sharing it, have a good day.

Hi Sajid, Yes, some of these are very cool, while others may not be as successful. I am most skeptical of the Loop. It’s difficult to imagine Alexa wrapped around your finger, but hey who knows? It may be a great success!
Kevin says
Every year there’s more and more! I’m so glad to see they are working on improving the microwave from last year’s model.
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi Kevin, Yes, Amazon certainly is expanding the number of devices using Alexa. The oven looks very handy to use, especially the feature that lets you scan the bar code of food to set the time and temperature.
Winar says
Echo Dot with Clock, good looking design. very nice as room decoration.
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi Winar, Yes, the added information on the new Dot makes this Echo device more useful. It’s a simple upgrade, but one that may prove quite popular.

Great post! I love new gadgets and am a complete junkie! At the last Prime Days, we bought two dots and they are great for so many different things around the house. And, I’ve been watching those Echo frames and some other similar gadgets and am just amazed at how technology is coming along. I really think this new voice command idea is going to be the future of social media and businesses will have to weave this into their marketing plan to stay ahead of the game. Thanks for sharing all these new finds!

Hi Sasha, Yes, gadget fans will find much to love with these new Alexa devices. Amazon certainly is expanding Alexa into many more parts of our lives. We can only imagine what the future holds for Alexa.
Inioluwa Olaposi says
The article on this page (supra) is a pretty long one. Had to go and check out ‘Alexa’ on google; didn’t know much about it as posted. I knew ‘Alexa’ somewhat as a place to check website ranking though – talk of ‘Alexa Ranking’.
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hello Inioluwa, Yes, as mentioned in this article, Alexa is Amazon’s digital assistant. Alexa is similar to Siri from Apple or Google Assistant.
You’re right, “Alexa” can be confusing as that is also the name of Amazon’s service to rank websites.
