Q. I’m a big fan of GIF’s and I’ve really been enjoying PopKey. I started using it as an app and thanks for letting us know about it coming to the computer!
I see GIFs everywhere now and with PopKey I can add GIFs easily. So much fun!
I was wondering if there’s an easy way to make my own GIFs. I’m not a techie at all but since I’m seeing GIFs everywhere so I’m pretty sure they can’t be super hard to make. But I have no clue how to make one.
Can you tell me an easy way to make a GIF?
PS Thanks for your great articles that even a non-techie like me can understand!
A. Excellent question! As you may be able to tell from my Wonder of Tech articles, I’m a big fan of GIFs too. I’m also a fan of free and easy tools. Why make life difficult when it can be easy!
I recently discovered a very cool, free and easy tool called Gifyt to make GIFs from YouTube videos while I was attending a class on using the Apple Watch at my local Apple Store. Okay, it was really more of a private lesson as I was the only one attending the class. But the good news is that the Apple Genius and I started talking tech and he showed me this cool GIF tool.

Hi, Carolyn, this is a fun little tool, isn’t it?
My hope was for it to work with private videos, my family don’t like putting stuff on the internet, but of course it’s not geared up to work with private videos. Still it’s a nice little tool I can’t wait to share.
Thank you!
