About Globle
Globle is simple to learn but challenging to play. And, so far, it’s free for all to use across the globe!
With Globle, you try to guess a new Mystery country every day. That’s it. Sounds simple, right? Well, it can be quite challenging…
Globle was created by Canadian developer Abe Train earlier this year. And, just as Wordle grew quickly in popularity, Globle is rapidly becoming a Web favorite, hitting over 1 million daily players last month.
Globle is available to play in English and Spanish languages.

How to Play Globle
To play Globle, head to the Globle website and click or tap on the globe at the bottom of the page to begin playing. A new page will open with a search box at the top and a globe underneath it.
Type the name of a country in the search box and hit Enter. The globe will spin and stop on that country, which will be highlighted in a color, according to how close your guess is to the correct country. Globle color-codes the guessed countries so that countries closer to the Mystery country have a warmer color:
- Beige – not close
- Light orange – getting closer
- Dark orange – getting even closer
- Red – very close
- Green – the correct country!
Globle shows an example of the colors of guessed countries if the Mystery country were Japan:
Scroll down below the globe to see how many kilometers your guess is away from the Mystery country.
Keep guessing until you guess correctly and the Mystery country turns green on the globe.
Congratulations!
Similarities Between Globle and Wordle
With respect to Wordle, you’re likely in one of three groups:
- What’s Wordle? Learn all about it at => Wordle — A New Fun, and Free Word Game
- I’m so tired of hearing about Wordle, I never hear want to hear about it again!
- I can’t get enough of Wordle!
No matter which group you’re in, you should give Globle a try!
Like Wordle, Globle is a daily game where you try to guess your answer. There’s only one Globle game per day so you can’t become too addicted.
As with Wordle, you can share your Globle results with others easily without revealing the correct answer.

No pressure, you don’t have to share your Globle score. Like Wordle, you can keep your results a secret.
As with Wordle, there’s no app for Globle. You need to go to the website to play the game.
Like Wordle, Globle keeps track of your streak and your statistics, as long as you keep playing on the same device.
As with Wordle, your streak will be broken if you miss a day playing Globle.

How about distances in miles for the US people playing.
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi Harriet, Excellent point! Globle can not only teach us geography, it can also teach us Americans about the metric system. I must confess to asking Siri to translate kilometers into miles until I get better at judging metric distances.
Marion says
Columbia was not recognized as a country, but all the surrounding countries were pointing that way. Very unfair that Globle was not recognized, Also kind of a cheat!
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi Marion, You discovered another way Globle is like Wordle — guesses that aren’t countries won’t count as a guess, just as in Wordle guesses that aren’t words won’t count as guesses. If you enter “Colombia” instead of “Columbia”, you’ll find that Globle accepts that spelling of the country as a guess. I hope you enjoy playing Globle, Marion!

Thank you for sharing the updated information. I have tried to search for the game on Google Play Store but to no avail. Can you please share the link? Thanking you in advance.

Hi Christofer, That’s great you want to try out Globle, it’s a lot of fun! Like Wordle, Globle isn’t an app but a website. You can find it at Globle.
