Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Google has released a major update to Google Shopping. This update can help you find the best deals, alert you to price drops, help suggest styles for you, and much more.
About Google Shopping
Google Shopping works using the Google Search site and the Google Shopping website. Google Shopping is available on your computer and your phone to find the best deals wherever you are, both online and at stores near you.
Google Shopping can also make suggestions for items you may want to buy, in different categories.
The update to Google Shopping also makes use of Google Lens to help identify products and suggest similar clothing styles. Google Lens can even show you images to suggest ways to wear clothing and accessories.

If you purchase a product through Google Shopping, you can get a Google guarantee on your purchase. Google will offset the carbon footprint for the delivery of your package if you shop online through Google Shopping.
Best Deals
Google Shopping works both with online shopping and with local retailers to help you find the best deals. Search for a product to see price comparisons on the Internet and at stores near you.
You can filter the search results to only online or only local retailers, if you want to refine your shopping options.
Filters are also available for price range, category, brand, material, sellers, etc.
Price Tracking
Google Shopping can also alert you to price drops with its tracking feature. When you search for an item in Google Shopping, look for an option to Track Price. Switch on that feature to get alerts of price drops for that product.
Alerts will show as a notice on your phone. In a few weeks, Google Shopping will offer email price drop alerts as well.
Google Lens Search and Style
Use Google Lens on your phone (in the Google Photos app or in the Google Lens app for Android) to search for products by image. Google Lens can also show you similar styles for clothes and furniture.
Google Lens can suggest ways to wear clothes and accessories to help you with your style.
Google Shopping Guarantee
Google offers a shopping guarantee when you purchase online using Google Shopping. According to Google, “every order is backed by a Google guarantee, which means you can rely on Google’s customer support and we’ll have your back for easy returns and refunds.”
This guarantee may give shoppers confidence to buy from online retailers they haven’t dealt with previously, helping those retailers better compete with bigger stores.
Availability
The new Google Shopping update is currently available for computers and mobile devices in the United States. No word on when or if these updates to Google Shopping will be available in other countries.
