Sometimes, when we have a lot on our minds, we can be forgetful. And one of the things that’s easy to forget is to bring your cell phone with you as you dash out the door. Maybe this doesn’t happen to you often, but it can be awfully frustrating to forget your cell phone as you leave the house for the day when you are expecting an important call. Perhaps you left your phone plugged into your computer with a USB cord or docked on your clock radio on your nightstand, and forgot that it’s not in your purse (or murse, a/k/a man purse). If you get a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach when you are halfway to your destination and you realize that you’ll be out of touch with the world, your boss, your kids and/or your parole officer, then this handy tip is for you.
When you plug your phone in to charge it, whether to the wall, a dock or a USB cord, put your keys by the phone. If you use your car to get places, then you just won’t be able to get very far without your keys. If you don’t use a car to get places, well, you probably won’t forget both your keys and your cell phone at the same time.
It may take a few times for you to remember that you put your keys by your cell phone, which might drive you crazy at first if you’re frantically searching for your keys. But when you find them and remember your phone at the same time, you will be happy you used this handy trick. Or leave yourself a note where you usually put your keys so you will remember where they are. Something like this, perhaps:
“Don’t forget your keys are by your cell phone so you won’t forget your cell phone!”
Handy dandy!

Another tip. If you can’t fine your cell phone and have another phone, call your cell phone # then you will hear the cell phone ring and know where you left your cell phone.
