Thanks for all of your support over the years, Carol!

Hi Carolyn,
The link from Facebook didn’t work when I tried to read this article or the link from the home page, but it works now. I read another article though, so it could be a problem with a cookie? I want more info about using Twitter those articles have been most useful, apps too. Articles on hardware aren’t so useful because I’m too mean to buy the stuff. I’m particularly interested in what Google is calling ‘The Internet of Things’ at the moment. A company near here in Birmingham makes switches and things that can be controlled with a cell phone. Each has it’s own private IP address. THis technology seems a bridge to some future developments. Linking different technology together seems to be a future trend. I saw some new smart locks too. We might soon be able to press a button to unlock the front door of our homes with a fingerprint scan ratehr than a key. That would suit me, I struggle to put the key in the lock in the dark!
You can look forward to me doing things with filters on my camera this year too. I’ve done 939 posts on WordPress and a Zillion Ideas is 2 years old now! ๐
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi Mike, Sorry you were having issues with links to this article. I think that glitch is gone now but I appreciate you letting me know about it.
Thanks for your article suggestions. Those are very helpful and I can certainly cover those topics. Twitter articles are always very popular. You’re right, more and more devices are linking to the Internet including home appliances, locks, light bulbs and more. The future of tech is very exciting!
Gramps says
Time flies, and so does tech. Happy birthday.

Lisa says
Hi Carolyn, Congratulations! I love to learn new things about tech and I’d like to see more on Androids. I always see more on iPhones everywhere but I love my Droid and am sure I could learn new things to use with it.
Here is to another 3 terrific years ahead too! It will be interesting to see how you grow this blog into more along the way.
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi Lisa, Thanks for letting me know that about Androids. Most of the phones I review are Android phones because there are so many more Android models than iPhone models.
With apps though, developers tend to develop iPhone apps first because iPhone apps tend to be more profitable for them. Because there are fewer models of iPhones, developers have an easier time creating and updating apps for the iPhone.
But I will keep an eye out for particularly interesting Android apps!

As we say in the old country, Mazal Tov!
Happy Blogiversary. It is always a pleasure to come by. One of the things that I appreciate is that you never mail it in here. Every post has substance.
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Thank you very much, Josh. Yes, I do try to deliver each time. I don’t want to waste reader’s time with articles that don’t inform.
That’s also why I don’t write reviews about bad products here. If I test a product that I wouldn’t recommend to a friend, you won’t read about it here.
There is plenty of bad tech out there, why waste your time reading about that? Better to discover the gems, in my opinion!
Barbara says
Happy Blogoversary, Carolyn, three cheers for all of your 608 posts and here’s a bouquet of roses for regaling us with great content.
Here’s to many more!
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Thank you so much, Barbara! I am so happy that I have such amazing readers who have been kind enough to read, comment and share.

Congratulations and a happy 3rd birthday to the Wonder Of Tech. I wish you and your blog many more. I am a fan of apps and I would have to say your posts about apps were my favourites. I discovered many interesting apps via your blog, but iRewardChart was my number one because it brought a bit of order to my sons’ room. ๐
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Thank you, Churchill. It’s helpful to know that you’re a fellow fan of apps. iRewardChart was the first app I wrote about in The Best App Ever! https://wonderoftech.com/the-best-app-ever/ because it was so helpful for my kids as well. Getting them to pitch in was no longer a struggle, they volunteered after we started using this app!
I had no contact with the developer before I wrote about this app but the developer was very helpful to me as I started this blog after I wrote The Best App Ever! It’s not surprising that an awesome app was created by an awesome developer!
iRewardChart says
Thank you so much Churchill and Carolyn for kind words. You guys are beyond awesome!
Happy 3rd Birthday to WonderOfTech, one of my most fav lifestyle blogs. Wish you all the best for future.
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hello iRewardChart, Always a pleasure to see you visit here! Very cool that Churchill picked The Best App Ever as his favorite Wonder of Tech article ever! :-bd
Thank you very much for your kind words and good wishes. Thank you also and again for all of your amazing support of The Wonder of Tech from the beginning.

I love all of the new gadgets you write about that I’d really like to own!
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi Tim, Yes, I’d like to own all of the gadgets that I review. If I didn’t like them, you wouldn’t read about them here. Some of the gadgets I really miss when they’re gone. But I’m always excited at the opportunity to review the devices!

silviu says
Hi Carolyn,
3 years of blogging, here at Wonder of Tech … , over 600 articles …. this means an average of 200 posts a year or about 4 posts a week … . !!!
This is a very unusual amount of work and an incredible patience and constancy. My blog is just one year old and I now how difficult it is.
My question for you: what was the main factor, reason etc that helped you keep going?
So many people stop blogging in just a few months but you continued way after this point. What motivated you?
My best guess is the fact that you have clearly defined niche and audience. You know where you want to go and what you want to do. This eliminated probably 90% of the confusion and increased the pleasure of working and researching. And this pleasure ignited the flames of passion.
Congratulation for this extraordinary accomplishment. May you enjoy many, many years of blogging and pleasure and success.
Have a wonderful weekend
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi Silviu, Thank you for your kind words and very interesting question. Your excellent interview skills are showing!
What motivates me and keeps me going? It’s actually very simple. I really, really love researching, writing, interviewing, testing, helping and doing almost everything that running this blog requires. The Wonder of Tech combines many of my passions: tech, writing and helping others. I feel as if I finally found my career fit to make the best use of my time.
By writing an article I can make a big difference in people’s lives. Not every article is life-changing but the feedback I receive from readers often amazes me, telling me that the tech I introduced them to has made a huge impact for their daily lives. If an article helps even one person then I am thrilled.
In the beginning I wrote 5x a week but that was too difficult to keep up with so I cut back to 3x a week. I went back to 5x a week in December last year as there were just too many tech topics to cover for my 3x a week schedule.
I understand when other bloggers quit. Blogging is a huge time commitment and takes a lot of effort. But I am fortunate to have the opportunity to follow my passion and to have the incredible help and support from readers and fellow bloggers. Blogging is a very strong community and one I am delighted to have discovered.
Matt says
Hi, Happy Birthday. May you have many many more. May you succeed in you mission and keep facilitate your readers. Best of luck.
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi Matt, Welcome to The Wonder of Tech! Thank you for your kind wishes.

Thank you, VBL Technologies, for your very kind words. I’m very glad this blog has been such a help to you.
Jeevan Jacob John says
Woah, so how many blogs are celebrating their anniversary in January?
(Your blog is special though…yours is one of the oldest in my reading list..plus, this is the only tech blog I visit, apart from Make Use Of and IGN :D)
Loved the last option (I really wanted to pick that…but unfortunately, I love this blog and all the topics it covers :D).
400 more posts to go – to a 1000 blog posts (that’s about 2 years, right?). So, we can celebrate both 1000 posts and 5 year blog anniversary on 2016 ๐
Congratulations, Carolyn. 3 years is an awesome milestone (which majority of bloggers don’t get to).
And, good luck with the future!
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi, Wow, thank you kindly for your words of praise. I am grateful that you have been such a wonderful reader and supporter of The Wonder of Tech for such a long time, Jeevan.
That’s a wonderful goal, Jeevan. I hadn’t done the math but 1000 posts by my 5 year anniversary would be a wonderful convergence of achivements! :-bd
Sylviane Nuccio says
Hi Carolyn, and congratulations to you!
Sorry for getting to your post a bit late, but couldn’t get here on time ๐
Wow, 500 posts in three years that pretty impressive to me, and 3 years really makes your blog still pretty young while it’s already very successful, so for that congratulations as well.
I’d love to see articles about helpful sites, how to articles, and social media specifically, but all of the others are pretty good too. I filled out your voting board. I’ve got a few new ideas from your blog for sure.
All the best to Wonder of Tech for a brand new year!
Carolyn Nicander Mohr says
Hi Sylviane, Thanks so much for voting in the poll and for letting me know what interests you in particular. That’s very helpful to guide me for the future.
Well, 500 posts was the number I achieved in June of last year. I’m now up to 609 articles. It’s hard to believe I’ve written that much but I’ve enjoyed each one.
I appreciate your stopping by to join the party, Sylivane. You’re welcome any time! <:-P
