Q. Thank you for your helpful article about how to create Kindle Collections on a computer. Could you also write a guide about to how to create Collections on a Kindle ereader?
A. Great suggestion, I certainly will. The article Kindle Collections – How to Organize Your Kindle Books Easily Using Your Computer continues to be a popular article at The Wonder of Tech.
Sometimes you may want to organize your Kindle library using your Kindle ereader. Amazon now lets people use their Kindle ereaders and Fire tablets to organize their Kindle books into Collections.
About Kindle Collections
Collections are similar folders you can use to organize files so you can find them more easily. Kindle books can be sorted into Collections so you can view your books in a specific genre all in one place.
You can add Kindle ebooks and personal documents into Kindle Collections. But newspapers, magazines, and blogs cannot be added to Collections.

You can create Collections using your Kindle ereader or Fire tablet if you have a Kindle Paperwhite (5th Generation), any Kindle e-reader model 6th generation and newer, or a 3rd generation Fire tablet and newer. If you have other models of Kindle ereader or Fire tablets, you can create collections using a computer and the Amazon website.

Hi Carolyn,
Good post. It is always easy to navigate and look for your favorite book if things are arranged in a proper order. Kindle Ereader looks like a good tool to have in order to achieve this.
Thanks for sharing, have a great day. 🙂

Hi Tarique, Yes, this was a very helpful question from a Wonder of Tech reader who wanted to know how to organize her Kindle books from her Kindle ereader. As time goes by we accumulate more Kindle books in our library and organizing them into Collections is a helpful way to find the Kindle book you want to read easily.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us, Tarique.

I bought a Kindle when they first came out years ago and it’s my permanent partner no matter where I travel too. It’s a perfect fit for my pocket and still is working perfect after all these years. It’s made life a lot easier not having to carry paper books about. Thanks Amazon for the years of pleasure that my Kindle has given me.
What I also like is that if I select a book to purchase your system will advise me that I’ve had the book previously (like same title but different covers that happens sometimes)
Anybody who has never tried a Kindle I highly recommend you try one and I’m sure you will like it.

Hi Roland, That’s great you’re such a Kindle fan. You’re right, there are many reasons to enjoy Kindle books, especially since they’re so convenient to read.
As our Kindle libraries grow, we can keep them organized with Collections so finding the book you want to read can become easier.
I hope you continue to enjoy your Kindle, Roland.
