Looking for an iPad? There’s an App for That!

Are you still trying to buy an iPad 2? Are you frustrated trying to find one at your local stores and don’t want to wait to order one online?

Good news! There is an app in the iTunes App Store called FindOne that will help you find the exact model iPad 2 that you’re looking for. You download the free app onto your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and choose which model you want. You can select AT&T, Verizon or Wi-Fi, the storage size (16, 32 or 64 GB) and the color (black or white). If you’re willing to compromise, you can choose All for each category.

You enter your zip code and hit the Search for Stores button. The app then searches Target and Walmart stores in your area for available iPads. You get a list of stores, their addresses and phone numbers, store hours and the specifications of the iPads they have in stock.

As of now, the app only includes Target and Walmart stores. The app developer has said that she will be adding Radio Shack next, followed by Toys R Us. She has no plans to add Best Buy as she finds their data base of stock availability inaccurate. She isn’t able to add Apple Stores because she can’t access their data base.
