I want to get an iPad but I might just save money and get the original iPad at a discount. What do you think?

Hi Sue, Welcome back to The Wonder of Tech! If you can afford a new iPad, I would suggest getting the new one. The older iPads are only discounted $100 in the Apple Store, though you may be able to get a better deal on eBay or from a friend who wants to upgrade to the newer model. I don’t know which model you were considering, but you could try getting less hard drive space to save money. For example, you could get a 16GB Wi-Fi iPad 2 instead of a 32GB Wi-Fi iPad 1 for $499.
If you really want to save money and don’t want to buy an iPad 1 from a friend or on eBay, you could buy a refurbished 16GB iPad 1 from Apple for $349.
