The estimated reading time for this post is 5 minutes

Black Friday Deals! Cyber Monday Sales! Holiday Bargains!

Whether you shop in stores or online, you want to be sure you’re getting the best prices and aren’t overpaying for your purchases. But how can you know whether the Black Friday sale price will be lower than the Cyber Monday deal and the end-of-the-year bargain?

These tech tools will help you compare prices both in stores and online. Use these apps, websites and browser extension to save time checking prices and researching deals, both on the Web and in local stores.

You’ll be able to compare prices, get alerts for deals and see the history of sale prices to know when and where you can save money.

Price Jump

You could spend hours comparing prices online, but by the time you finished the prices would have changed. What to do?

Check out Price Jump by savings.com that helps you find the lowest prices, both online and in local stores. Compare prices at Amazon to other online and local retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Sears to see who has the best prices.

Price Jump Website

Price Jump has many ways to help you check prices.

  1. Compare prices of products online by copying the URL of the Amazon product page and pasting it into the search box at Price Jump. You’ll see a list of  prices for identical and similar products at other retailers.
  2. Search by keyword at the Price Jump website to see a list of products and prices.
  3. Use the free Price Jump iPhone app to scan bar codes when you’re shopping in stores to see price comparisons in other stores and online. This app also shows you Amazon reviews of a product you’ve scanned.
  4. Get the browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox to show you price comparisons when you shop at Amazon. When you have a product page open at Amazon, the Price Jump extension will open a window if there’s a lower price at another website.

Invisible Hand

Invisible Hand is a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox and Safari that knows when you’re shopping online and automatically shows you lower prices on other websites. This tool works in the US, UK and Germany to compare prices at 696 retailers and 589 airlines.

The app Amazon alert worked for me today. I put the voice controlled firestick on my list and got a text today that it was on sale $10 off. I was cooking turkey and did not have the time to search for bargains, but did stop to buy 2 of these for presents!

    Hey Carolyn,

During these days, people should use the price comparison tools. Even I check the price at the different websites before buying anything.

But it’s always great if you get the notification when the price drops. That’s what people need.

    Thanks for the list.

Great list herein – online shopping is moving to its apex this days.

I got many apps for comparing prices on different shops, but the price of delivery and duration makes me to use some of the companies even though their price is high.

    Thanks all the same

Hi Joseph, Excellent point. Shoppers should factor shipping charges into their price comparisons. You don’t want to lose out by saving a little money, then having to pay a lot more for shipping!
