When you want to watch a movie at home, you may wonder where you you can stream it. Netflix? Hulu? Amazon Prime? HBO?
You could check each one individually or check out Reelgood who can do that for you instantly. Reelgood shows you where you can watch movies and TV shows, and whether they are available for streaming or rental.
[note] If you like to watch streaming TV shows and movies, you’re probably missing CanIStreamIt, a handy app that no longer works.
The good news is that Reelgood is here to help us find videos that are available to stream. [/note]
What Reelgood Does
Reelgood is a free website and app for iPhone and iPad that lets you search for streaming videos. You can search across different sources and Reelgood will show you whether a video is available for streaming and where you can watch it.
Don’t miss => Streaming vs. Downloading Videos — What’s the Difference?
One of the best parts of Reelgood is that you can choose which sources you want to search. You can choose all of them, or just the ones you subscribe to. That way you don’t have to be frustrated if a video is only available on a service you don’t have.
How to Use Reelgood
You can use Reelgood on either the Reelgood website or the Reelgood app for iPhone and iPad. Both are free to use.
Choose which sources you’d like to search. Reelgood supports over 300 sources, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and Hulu Plus, HBO GO, HBO Now, Fox, AMC, Xfinity, TVLand, Crackle, Comedy Central, HGTV, Google Play, Starz, Fandango, the CW, NBC, and many more.
Reelgood shows paid and free sources so you can have a choice of where to watch videos.
You can always change your sources later, if you want to add or remove accounts.
After you’ve chosen which sources you want to include, then search for the video you want to stream. Reelgood will show you where it’s available. If it’s a series, it will show you which seasons are available for streaming.
If a video is available for rental or purchase, Reelgood will show you that too. You can see where a video can be rented or purchased and how much the video will cost.
Accounts
You don’t need to set up an account, but you can if you want to. By setting up an account, you can have Reelgood notify you when new seasons and shows become available for streaming.
With an account you can also keep track of videos you’ve seen and those you want to see. If a show isn’t available yet, you can ask to be notified when it becomes available.
Finding Videos to Stream
You can search for shows by name or category. Reelgood will suggest shows you may be interested in watching, based on the sources you’ve added. Search for TV shows or movies, in categories such as IMDB’s Best Rated, Action, Comedy, Documentary, etc.
Reelgood also suggests shows and movies you may want to watch that are popular or classics.
[tip]Reelgood can be an inspiration for when you’re stuck for “what should we watch” on movie night. [/tip]
Reelgood will show you the results, where you can play the video from the source. You can watch a trailer, see the IMDB rating, see the length of the show, and read a description.
Watching Videos
After you’ve found a video you want to watch, you can tap the Play button to watch the video on the service where it’s available. Then relax and enjoy the show!
Availability and Coming Soon
Right now, Reelgood is available in the US as a website and as an app for iPhone and iPad.
I reached out to Reelgood who told me that an Android app is in the works. They also told me that they plan to expand to the UK, Australia and Canada soon.
Reelgood also plans to expand to Apple TV and other set-top boxes in the near future.

Hello Carolyn,
Good review over here 🙂
Reelgood looks pretty cool, now people are all over the net, cable days are gone and now its time for Netflix, Amazon Prime
or Hulu. Good thing that, with reelgood we do not need to search down all these platforms to get our favorites TV shows
, just reelgood will guide us, where can we watch these over the best platform.
One thing it only works for Iphone or Ipad, I have one more ShowBox for the android users, which can get them latest movies,
their latest TV series.
Thanks for the share.
Shantanu.

Hi Shantanu, Yes, I was missing Can I Stream It? and I know others were too. I had received questions from readers about alternatives to that service.
I was delighted to find out about Reelgood as it truly is a useful service that fills the gap left by Can I Stream It?
Thanks for suggesting ShowBox, Shantanu. I will have to check that out!
