Twitter just launched a new bookmarks tool, giving its users a much-needed way to privately save tweets for later. This new tool on Twitter means that you can now add a tweet to your Bookmarks to read later, without the world knowing what you’re saving.
Previously, the only way to save a tweet for later on Twitter was to add it to your Favorites. But that tweet may not actually have been a favorite of yours. In fact, you may not have even liked the tweet. You may just wanted to save it for later. But on Twitter your Favorites appear to the world that you “Like” them.
Now you can bookmark tweets to read later so you can save articles, tweets, photos or anything else you want to save for later. Maybe you want to read the tweet with a linked article later, when you have more time. Or maybe you found a tweet to be interesting, even though you didn’t agree with the opinion it stated. Or maybe someone posted a long thread on Twitter that you want to read later.
No one needs to know what you’re saving with Bookmarks, you can now save tweets in private.

Saving Bookmarks on Twitter Using Your Computer
Bookmarks aren’t available yet on the Twitter website, but you can still save Bookmarks on Twitter using your computer. When you see a tweet you want to bookmark, use the Twitter mobile website on your computer, mobile.twitter.com.
There you’ll see the sharing icon. You can click that to add a tweet to your Bookmarks.
Finding Your Bookmarks on Twitter
After you’ve saved Bookmarks on Twitter, you’ll want to find them later. To find your Bookmarks, tap on your profile image in the app.
That will open a menu where Bookmarks are listed.
Tap on “Bookmarks” to see your saved Bookmarks.
If you want to access your saved Bookmarks on your computer, use the mobile.twitter.com website. Then follow the steps above.
Removing Bookmarks from Twitter
To remove a Bookmark from your account, tap the sharing icon on a tweet while you’re in the Bookmarks section of your Twitter account.

Time to Review Your Twitter Favorites
If you’ve been using Favorites to save tweets to read later, you should review what tweets you’ve saved as Favorites. Those Favorite tweets on your Twitter account are available for the world to see, so you’re sending a message with what you’re saving.
When you review your Favorites, you can unlike any that aren’t a true reflection of you. Instead save them as Bookmarks in private so you aren’t judged by what you save.

Hi Carolyn,
Very interesting post. It gave valuable information about a new feature and also step by step guidance on how to use it. It is really very helpful. And no doubt it was seriously needed as Favourites was not enough.
It was particularly useful that you gave tips regarding how to access this feature in a desktop. But for the method that you gave desktop users would have had a hard time accessing it or might have resigned to not using it at all.
Thanks for the valuable information. Have a great day!

Hi Naveen, Yes, it’s not apparent how to use Bookmarks on Twitter using your computer, but it is possible, if you know how to do it.
I’m so glad this article was helpful to you, Naveen. I hope Twitter Bookmarks work well for you.
