This week marks the ninth anniversary of The Wonder of Tech and once again, dear readers, I must thank you for a great year for this website. Your comments, questions, and article ideas have contributed to The Wonder of Tech sharing fun and useful tech with the world for another year.
Visitors came from 230 countries to this site in 2019 with most people reading The Wonder of Tech on their phones. Trends from past years continued as many of the top articles in 2019 did not change much from 2018. I guess Wonder of Tech readers like the classics!
The Wonder of Tech remains free of advertisements, paid content, affiliate links or any other form of advertising. I write The Wonder of Tech to help readers learn about fun and useful technology for your daily life and I hope you discover tech here that can make your life better.
Big Changes at The Wonder of Tech
The biggest change to The Wonder of Tech in 2019 was reducing the number of articles from two a week to one. Life gets in the way sometimes and that happened to me last year requiring me to change my publication schedule.
In spite of halving my output, Wonder of Tech traffic remained steady from 2018 to 2019. So I basically got the same results with half the work. Go figure…
The other big change to The Wonder of Tech was that I changed the email subscription service to MailChimp. I was nearing the limit of subscribers to my previous subscription service, so I switched to MailChimp and appreciate the added features of its service.

The new entry to the top list for 2019 is How to See Who Is Following You On Facebook and Who You’re Following, an article from last year that became quite popular. Wonder of Tech readers either have a lot of Facebook followers, want to follow a lot of other people on Facebook, or both.

Visitors to The Wonder of Tech came from 230 countries in 2019. The top countries visiting The Wonder of Tech in 2019 were:

Special shoutout to Christmas Island who sent one visitor last year!
Devices
An increasing percentage of visitors are reading The Wonder of Tech on their phones. 53% of visitors used their mobile phones to read The Wonder of Tech, while 36% used their desktop computers and 10% used their tablets.
A majority of users using their phones, at 53%, was an increase over 2018 when 46% of visitors to The Wonder of Tech used their phones.
Where Did Traffic Come From?
Once again, Google was the main source of traffic to The Wonder of Tech, referring 60% of visitors in 2019, up from 46% in 2018.
