Rather Be Shopping: Your Personal Site for Savings!

The estimated reading time for this post is 3 minutes

What’s better than shopping? Shopping with coupons! But finding the right coupons can be a challenge. You can compare prices, read reviews and look at images of the products and then spend loads of time trying to find a usable coupon. There is nothing worse than getting excited over an online coupon, only to discover it doesn’t work. Or purchasing a product, only to find an amazing coupon right after you click the “Complete Purchase” button.

Wouldn’t it be great to find a site with coupons that are verified? A site that lets you know when there are coupons and sales at your favorite stores? Dear readers, I have discovered an amazing coupon site that is unlike any other I have seen.

Best Coupon Site
Here is the link to the site: rather-be-shopping.com

Rather-Be-Shopping.com is a unique website that is determined to give you the best savings for your favorite stores. You can find many other online coupon sites, but this one is different.

What Makes This Site So Great?

Target coupon1. Personal service. This website is run by Kyle whose life mission is to make you happy. I’m serious. If you want a store added, just ask him. He responds immediately. This is his job and he is great at it. It’s kind of like having a personal online coupon shopper for you. How cool is that?

2. The coupons are all verified. Kyle personally checks them all out. You can see this on the website. Check out how Kyle checks out coupons. Amazing.

3. The way the website is organized. Featured coupons are on the home page. On the right sidebar are coupons that are expiring soon (usually that day) so you know to act quickly. Searching couldn’t be easier: by category, alphabetically or searching by name.

4. Email alerts. Do you have a favorite store but always seem to miss their coupons and special sales? Rather-Be-Shopping.com will let you sign up for email alerts that let you know when your favorite stores are having sales.

I love this feature because if you are having a busy week and your inbox is full, just search for rather-be-shopping and find all the coupons you might have missed. So much easier than searching for each store to see if they sent you a coupon.

5. Not into online shopping? No worries, Rather-Be-Shopping.com has printable coupons too! If you have a hankering to head to the mall, check out this site first!

Printable Coupons

Right now, there are over 3,000 coupons on the site at 750+ stores. If you discover a coupon, send it along to Kyle. He will verify it and add it to the site so others can join in the savings.

How much is this site? It’s free! As a matter of fact, they have give-aways such as a $75 Wal-Mart gift card, which is even better than free.

Some examples of fantastic savings I found on the site are:

  • Gap.com: Save 35% on your entire online order
  • Kohls.com: Save 15% on your entire online order
  • Target.com: Save 15% on apparel and accessories
  • The Children’s Place: Save 15% on your entire online order
  • Domino’s: Buy one Large or Medium pizza, get the second at 50% off (printable coupon)

The site covers major stores including Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Sears, Old Navy, Lands End, Domino’s and Safeway, and smaller sites such as Vera Bradley, Chico’s, Cabela’s and Sephora.

Domino's Pizza CouponWith over 750 stores, you’re bound to find a coupon that gives you big savings.

Bottom Line

The only reason not to check out this site? You like to pay more than you have to, and nobody wants that. Whether you’re online shopping or real word shopping, check out Rather-Be-Shopping.com for personalized savings!

Do you check out online coupons before you shop? Have you had buyer’s remorse after you missed out on a coupon at your favorite store? Let us know in the Comments section below!

That site is quite good, not for me but some thrifty ideas! I have an amusing blogs today; quite outrageous but amusing! It’s stopped raining here and the sun is shining! I’m off out as soon as my young friend arrives to take photographs; I think more wide aperture ones! 🙂

I look forward to seeing your new photos!

I forgot I joined Google + this morning. They know more about me than I do! I deleted some information! I don’t usually tell people where I studied…

Hi Mike, you’re right, Google+ is now open to all, without invitation. I will be very curious to see how everyone likes it now. Will it pose a challenge for Facebook? Time will tell…

What’s better than shopping? Somebody shopping for me……unless it’s manly stuff like sports equip or yard equip; I think I would rather gargle bees………..I really don’t like to shop. You should have seen my feeble attempt today since my wife’s birthday is tomorrow. It wasn’t pretty………….

However, what a great site and I will certainly make sure to pass this on to my wife.

Where do you come up with all this great stuff? Thanks for sharing.

      September 21, 2011 at 3:12 pm

Hi Bill, So, gargling bees is preferable to shopping for you? Wow, that’s pretty bad! I’m thinking you’re not a big shopping fan, but do pass this along to your lovely wife. But don’t make the site her birthday present from you. I can just see it now, “Honey, I found the perfect site for you! An awesome website where you can save as you shop!” That probably won’t cut it, even though the site is truly great. 😉

Bill, I neglected to answer your all-important question: where do I come up with this stuff?

Well, never let it be said a tech question goes unanswered here at The Wonder of Tech!

Kyle, the developer, emailed me about the site. He even offered me a beer if I didn’t write about his site but offered nothing if I did write about it. That’s right, I got nothing for writing about his site and passed up a beer by publishing this article.

I don’t know if Kyle is ultra-confident about his site or the world’s best marketer (we’ll have to ask Jens about that), but I just couldn’t keep Kyle’s great site from my readers.

That’s right, I gave up a beer to write about this site. Now that’s dedication. 😀

        That’s above and beyond……….just sayin’………

          September 21, 2011 at 6:42 pm

OMG, I just realized, what if Kyle was offering to pay me not to write about his site like Abercrombie & Fitch offered to pay Mike “The Situation” from the Jersey Shore NOT to wear their clothes? Uh oh. I think I might have messed up. I hope Kyle forgives me someday…@-)

I do love coupons Carolyn, what a neat site. I am going to have to tell my sister-in-law about this one as well as my Mom. My Mom isn’t a big online shopper but she can print out coupons. Yep, she’s pretty nifty on that computer.

I’m glad Kyle emailed you about this one. What a guy, bribing you NOT to write about it. That’s a backward idea. But it worked for him so I guess it all worked out well.

Thanks Carolyn for sharing. You’re a gem! 🙂

      September 21, 2011 at 8:15 pm

Hi Adrienne, I’m glad you’re not threatening to gargle bees like Bill! Yes, one of the many great things about this site is it’s good for real world shopping as well as online shopping. Your sister-in-law and mother will be delighted with this site, I’m sure!

Kyle actually sent me an incredibly nice, well-written email when he initially told me about his site. He said that if I was offended by being approached, he would buy me a beer. Well, I wasn’t offended at all, I love it when people with great sites, apps, etc. contact me. I check them all out, but I had a feeling that Kyle’s site would be great based upon how kind and eloquent his initial email was.

Not only was Kyle’s site awesome, he was very easy to work with, answering all my questions right away. That gave me even more confidence in recommending his site.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving such an awesome comment, Adrienne! I hope you’re having a great week. 🙂

A beer for not telling anyone about the site?? Dang. That’s a tough call, but sharing great shopping deals is a true priority in life. Still, dang!

I liked RatherBeShopping so much I’ve already forwarded your write up & a link to the site to my most powerful shopping buddies. Great site. Sorry about the beer loss.

Hi cho cho, Thanks, but actually it was an easy call, the site is that great. 🙂

I really appreciate your sharing Kyle’s site with your power shopping friends. I’m sure they’ll be very grateful to you as the coupons to their favorite stores start appearing in their inboxes. Make sure you bookmark the site to so you don’t miss out on savings!

Always great to see you here at The Wonder of Tech, cho cho! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

Hi everyone. First off, yes I did offer Carolyn a beer and I still plan on buying her one for this great review of my business. I hope you all find it useful and don’t hesitate to use me as your personal coupon hunter when shopping online.

I have to be honest, working for yourself and trying to generate buzz for your business can often be tedious and frustrating. But it only takes one person, like Carolyn, to make it all worthwhile. Her attention to detail and actually wanting to know how my site could benefit her readers was quite refreshing and certainly added a puff of wind to my sails as I continue this journey. Thanks again Carolyn.

Hi Kyle, From your initial email to your instantly responding to every question I had, to your kind comment here, you have been a pleasure to deal with every step of the way. It’s no surprise that an awesome developer has an awesome site. I am very grateful to you for reaching out to me about your site.

The Wonder of Tech is all about sharing wonderful tech and your site definitely fits the bill!

I’m so happy you enjoyed the review, Kyle and I wish you much continued success with your awesome site. And I hope we do get together for a beer someday. 😀

    Hi Carolyn,

I think everyone loves to shop and places where you get discounts and coupons is sure going to be something everyone’s going to stop at! However, just as you mention in the post, we never get to know which coupon is really going to work and is valid enough. I sure am going to check out rather-be-shopping.com as it comes from you!

    Thanks for sharing 🙂

      September 22, 2011 at 2:38 pm

Hi Harleena, Welcome to The Wonder of Tech. Wow, thank you. I really do take my recommendations seriously so I have every confidence that when you check out Rather-Be-Shopping you will be very impressed.

I completely agree with you. I hate it when I go to check out at an online shopping site, only to discover that for some reason a coupon didn’t work. That’s why I really appreciate that Kyle verifies the coupons that are listed on his site.

      Have fun shopping, Harleena! 😀

Hadn’t heard of this site before but looks awesome. Verified coupons? Just what I need. Especially when I bravely walked into a restaurant the other day, flashed my coupon and they said they’ve never heard of it before – how embarrassing! Will be sure to give this a try – thanks

I haven’t heard of this site before.. looks great. Thanks a lot for sharing. I don’t have much money left though, been in Italy for too long. But, I’m going to bookmark it and take a closer look at it in a few weeks.
